The annual MotoMuck two-man dirt bike series, to be held in the Woodhill Forest, near Auckland, is almost upon us.
The dates have been released and the Endless Dirt Biking team have started planning.
The series consists of three rounds, all held in different blocks of the sand-based riding Mecca of the Woodhill Forest.
This means each round features fresh tracks and varying riding terrain, which is fully utilised by the experienced team of volunteers that mark and cut the fresh tracks to ensure competitors have a brilliant ride.
The event is a three-hour race contested by teams of two riders, each of them taking alternating laps.
Riders can team up with a workmate, wife, friend, mum, dad, son, daughter, some bloke from the pub or even your hairdresser. If you’re a dedicated racer, a mad man or just love a challenge, you can do the three-hour race as a solo rider and truly get a taste for forest cross-country racing at its finest.
The series caters to everyone from novices to experienced racers. The format also caters for junior riders and women, ensuring that nobody is left out.
Riders to feature at or near the top in this series in recent times include Brandon Hoskins, Damon Nield, Jonathan Hill, Chris Power, Blake Wilkins, Richard Sutton, Luke Taylor, Luke Uhrle and Ryan Hayward and a surprising number of them chose to race solo.
The Endless Dirt Biking crew is made up of a team of experienced cross-country and enduro racers/riders that work to ensure the best track for the forestry block. That means you get the best riding/racing experience for your buck.
Why not get along and experience cross country racing in parts of Woodhill Forest which are not usually open for use. Why wouldn’t you?
Due to the recent devastation left in the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle, the exact place in Woodhill Forest that each round will run through will be confirmed shortly. Keep an eye on the Endless Dirt Biking Facebook page or here at BikesportNZ.com for updates.
