They’ve been doing this since 40,000 trailers ago. When you have 40,000 happy customers, you know you’re doing something right.
And, to celebrate the milestone, Kea Trailers is doing something special.
A nationwide sale is now on and so it’s the perfect time to update or upgrade your motorbike transportation.
Of course it doesn’t end there either, because Kea Trailers are so much more than just manufacturers of world-class trailers, they also produce fully-enclosed fibreglass display trailers, farm bike trailers and stock trailers too, among many others.
We’re pretty sure that, if you can imagine it, they’ll do their best to produce it for you.
Kea Trailers, with sales yards in Hamilton and Christchurch, have for many years now proudly been supporting the motorcycle racing community throughout New Zealand, their distinctive yellow and green logo seen on the side of the various bikes raced by Taupo’s Brad Groombridge as he circulates at the head of the pack on the dirt bike scene and now in the road-racing world too.

Kea Trailers NZ Ltd is the leading light trailer manufacturer in New Zealand and has more than 35 years’ of experience in the industry and company owner Tony Head knows a thing or two about the needs of motorcycle racers, with his own son, Seton Head, also a potent force on the national motocross and cross-country race scene.
Seton Head has also recently tried his hand at road racing, on the tarmac and racing in the popular GIXXER Cup competition earlier this season.
For as little as $2500 you could equip yourself with a standard box trailer and then, for an additional $490 you could add a bike rack attachment.
“This is a most cost-effective option,” said Tony Head.
“The trailer can be used in so many ways, to move furniture, for example, during the week and then quickly converted to a bike trailer for the weekend.”
For $3200 you could have a dedicated bike trailer, capable of hauling 3-4 bikes. A fuel compartment could be added and a storage box fitted to the draw bar to carry equipment such as helmet and boots.
“Beyond that, we also manufacture an enclosed trailer, costing between $9000 and $10,000, depending on what features you want installed.
“These are fibreglass and are light to tow, easily sign-written and totally sealed and secure. People are often buying these to use as mobile work stations by builders and other tradesmen. Schools and sports clubs also buy these. There are no limits really to how these can be used.
“You could install with beds and kitchen fittings and it could be used as a mobile home.”
Here’s a chance to look and act like a pro motocross rider, perhaps on a smaller scale than the big-rig truck and trailer units that the Yamaha or Honda factories park in the AMA Motocross paddock or at MotoGP races, but just as effective at New Zealand club or national championship events.
